Here you will find some of the most common questions we receive from our customers.

About the motorhome

All our cars can be driven with a regular class B drivers license. The vehicles have a max weight of 3500 kgs.

All the camping cars are of a newer date with a low mileage. This to ensure reliability, comfort, and satisfied customers! In rare cases, for example if a rental car has been damaged, we will offer a substitute car. We cannot guarantee that the substitute will be a current year model, but it will most likely be newer than four years. The majority of camping cars are built on a chassis from Ford Transit or Fiat Ducato. j er: 2

The exact car model may differ, due to unforeseen circumstances. For example delayed returns or damaged cars which have to be repaired, or some other complication. We cannot promise you the exact same car that you've looked at. We have access to substitute cars, and we will always do our utmost to provide a car that is as close to the specifications of the originally booked rental as possible, for example, the same number of seats/beds as originally booked. This ensures that your vacation goes as planned! If for example there is extensive vandalism or our campers catch fire the night before the pick up (force majeure, out of our control), we will most likely not be able to deliver a motorhome to you. We will however refund the deposit and the rental fee. j er: 3

No problem. Detailed instructions will be given when the car is picked up. Paper manuals for the different pieces of equipment inside the car will be available. Please remember that a motorhome is designed for movement, this is why all beds, cupboards, sliding doors and other pieces of equipment incorporate locks and other safety features. A security switch often has to be pressed before opening cupboards and similar. Excessive use of force if 'the d*** thing doesn't work' is not advised under any circumstances. j er: 4

First of all, take a look at the manual, if things still are unclear after this, feel free to call us, and we'll sort out the problem. Also, most caravanists that you'll meet on your journey in Norway are both social and helpful. If, for example, the cooker or refrigerator doesn't work, you must contact us as soon as possible. We can not make refunds if you first let us know about malfunctioning equipment upon return of the car. j er: 5

Equipment

Every car has a shower, sink, toilet, refrigerator and a gas cooker. Also, radio, air condition, awning and a bike rack (capacity for three bikes). None of the cars have an automatic gearbox, they all come with a standard manual gearbox (stick shift). j er: 6

Propane for cooking and heating is included. Depending on the car model, one or two propane bottles are installed. Some cars utilize diesel for heating and hot water, in that case the propane is used only for cooking. j er: 7

Buy a new bottle at a gas station or camping site, and keep the receipt - we'll refund the amount upon your return. A demonstration on how to change the propane bottle will be performed when the car is picked up. j er: 8

Insurance, contract and rental period

400 km per day, averaged over the whole trip. For example: a ten-day rental: 4000 km. If this limit is exceeded, additional costs will apply. j er: 9

Diesel fuel for the motorhome is not included in the rental sum. Any gas station in Norway has diesel fuel available. A full tank of fuel should last for roughly 500 km or more depending on conditions and driving style. j er: 10

The payment is made as a part of the booking process. Also, at the day of departure when picking up the vehicle, a security deposit will be blocked/reserved on the renters credit card. This is for covering insurance deductible in case of accident/damage, parking tickets, etc. The deposit will be reserved for 4 weeks regardless if the vehicle is undamaged upon return. Toll road companies, parking ticket issuers etc need a few weeks to send potential claims We hope you understand that we can't hand over the rental vehicle to the renter before the security deposit is made, and the rent is paid in full. j er: 11

Depending on the date of the cancellation, a certain percentage of the rental fee will be deducted. See the rental agreement for more information, it is visible before the booking is finalized, the customer must accept the rental agreement to place the order. j er: 12

* The rental fee includes property and liability coverage. The renter will be charged own risk per accident. * If the vehicle is stolen or carjacked, the insurance covers only the vehicle and items bolted on to it. The owner of the vehicle is not economically responsible for claims that exceed the coverage of the liability insurance. * For this reason we both recommend and expect that the renter has his/her own travel insurance. * You must be at least 25 years old in order to drive one of our motorhomes. j er: 13

At the time of booking, you will have been informed about a pickup- and delivery point, and date/time. Money will not be refunded if the motorhome is returned earlier than stated in the contract. You do not need to clean the outside of the motorhome, but the following points must be adhered to: - All trash must be removed from the car. - The inside of the motorhome must be cleaned. - Grey water tank and the toilet tank must be emptied. - Diesel tank must be filled up. - All items not belonging to the vehicle/rental station must be removed. Our employees will inspect the vehicle, take note of the mileage and damage, if any. j er: 14

If there is a delay and you won't be able to return the motorhome at the time agreed, let us know as soon as possible in order for us to provide an alternate solution to the next customer. Also, additional fees will apply in the event of delayed return, see the price list. j er: 15

General terms and conditions

No smoking and no pets are allowed in our motorhomes. A violation of this rule will incur additional costs. j er: 16

In case we cannot find a replacement vehicle: We won't refund for lost vacation time, or for lost earnings or other expenses if there is a breakdown of the vehicle. We will refund the deposit and the rental fee. However, we will do our best to find another motorhome. Our vehicles are new and have short mileage, the chance of a breakdown is very slim. If there is a smaller problem with the vehicle we will refund for the time the vehicle is under repairs, but repairs under 12 hours in duration is not refunded. NB: If there is an accident or damage, a damage report must be filled in. j er: 17

Yes, but this has to be agreed upon in advance, at the latest the day of pickup. We need time in advance to coordinate our cleanup crew, as it often is a short time from the motorhome is returned until the next customer picks it up. j er: 18

We'll take care of cleaning of the outside of the motorhome, this is included. If you for some reason want to clean the exterior of the vehicle while you are travelling, never use pressure washers as these will damage the seals on windows and hatches. Also, never use strong solvents or microfibre cloth on a camping car. Automated car wash facilities are not to be used. Cleaning of the inside of the motorhome: this is something you'll have to do, unless you opted for us to do it. See the price list for details. Washing of the interior is to be done with soap and water, no strong solvents or microfibre cloth. j er: 19
